MAN AND ANIMAL IN THE SZONDI SCHEMA
THE DIALECTIC BETWEEN THE MIDDLE AND THE BORDERS.
This startling 'dialectic' historically comes directly from the arraignment of four Vectors of Szondi Test where the results are recording in a form or psychogram which had designed intuitively and experimentally 1937, It placed the Vectors in the following order;
S [Sexual P [Paroxysmal] SCH [Ego] C [Contact]
Simplified it is--Something like this:
In this four place schema, the Sexual heredity sphere is on the left end of the diagram [S] [=gender, Eros, aggression] and on the right end is [C]Contact sphere] [=object contact, search or bonds/moods] called together from their end locations in the psychogram as the 'ends' or the 'borders' [depending on the translation of German, 'rand'].
These 'ends' or 'borders' have in common that they are representatives of the forms, of IMPULSE LIFE. THE ONES, OF THE EARLIEST DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDHOOD, AND ANCESTRAL MANKIND and which STILL EXIST in the adult and are closest to the impulse life of animals.
The leaves the [P] and [SCH] the middle. [P] [Emotion control] and [SCH] [=Ego Control] These two middle placed Vectors have in common that are representatives of many forms, LIFE CONTROL.
This is the broad dialectic every human has between his animal like nature and Ego controlled adult human.
| The Szondi Test Study Group is currently exploring "Ego Development" from the baby blob to the super adult outcomes. This is open source and you need not be any kind of professional to sit in. This is of course based on the findings of Hungarian Psychiatrist. Leopold Szondi who argued that normal was but, a balanced mixture of eight key psychiatric conditions. The Ego (Self/Me/I) has different 'settings' as development happens. The Ego settings are revealed by Szondi's test method, for those over age 4, and by a theoretical reconstructions for younger ages. The link is here {HERE} |
